Perfectly imperfect. The Riso printer is very similar to screen printing. A “master” is created for each color of your print. We carry a variety of colors you can choose from. Each color is printed one color at a time, multiplied over that last color. Black is usually printed last. This style of printing naturally has a more artistic look since the layers of colors bleed into one another, creating new colors and hues. They can misalign or offset – which gives the print a very unique look that doesn’t feel as perfect as a laser or inkjet print. You’ll also see some texture in your prints depending on the paper stock and the amount of ink used to cover a larger portion of the paper. Riso prints are great for posters, postcards, and specialty art prints. Please view our templates and color swatches if you’re looking to print on a Riso with us.
